Nature of the work done for Interland was building websites for their clients; based on the template selected by the client and the information provided by him which was added to different pages of the sites.
Project Description
Convert psd or jpg template into an "uptake" file which included html, CSS, Images. This file was used by the site builder to create pages. (Page templates).
Log on to Site builder use the uptake to build the site template.
You can then add pages and for each page add the content.
Use the Add-ons to enhance the functionality of the site.
Some of the Add-ons that are frequently used are.
Map - To display the location of Business
Flash - Was used to enhance the look of the site
Forms - Different forms were used to collect information from the users.
Shopping Cart and catalog
In the case of Miva Merchant shopping cart, mostly the data was provided in the Excel sheet. This was converted into CSV and used in the advance feature of Miva.
Product images were converted into thumbnails and uploaded to the site.
PayPal Integration
Publish the site preview. And Send the link to the client for review.

TravelTainment UK Ltd, previously known as Access e-Media Ltd came into operations in the year 1991. The company markets TravelTainment products to the UK travel industry alongside its established and successful TravelMedia brands.
The company provides two types of products which is TT-IBE and TT-Travel Office
1. TT-IBE - Optimised to customers and sales: Like a virtual travel advisor, TravelTainment’s Internet booking engine searches for reliable, suitable travel offers and automatically suggests individually selected alternatives in an easy-to-use, customer-friendly and informative manner. TT-IBE provides detailed travel information, countless options for efficient sales management and a detailed statistics domain. The travel offers of all the major operators are featured.
2.TT-TravelOffice - the solution for travel agents: With TT-TravelOffice, the customers are able to gain access in the travel agency to last-minute and package holiday offers from all major tour operators within a matter of seconds. In addition, charter flights, hotels, villas and apartments as well as car hire and insurance offers may be accessed directly and booked.
Project Description
CHALLENGE
TravelTainment is a company that is focused on providing core customer services. All tourism-related information in the particular regions such as hotels, beaches, towns, sights, leisure activities are researched by TravelTainment, documented in the form of texts and images and prepared digitally for the information about the hotel and the surrounding area. The events calendar informs customers about goings-on in the most popular holiday areas.
The aerial and satellite images offer a bird’s eye view. Through geo-referencing (the entering of atlas co-ordinates) and information on the surrounding area may be obtained for several thousand hotels. This holiday information is supplemented by information about countries and regions throughout the world. With information about the (departure) airports, TravelTainment supports travelers in the planning stage even before they have arrived at their holiday destination.
In this way, TravelTainment boasts both a quantitatively and qualitatively unique database for this field of expertise.
There are thousands of travel brochures that needs to be updated online on a regular basis since it entails travel information pertaining to various destinations around the world which will enable the customers to have easy accessibility. TravelTainment outsources this work of updating their online system to GlowTouch so that the updates are done immediately and much faster.
SOLUTION
TravelTainment and GlowTouch are working together on a project which is basically a data entry project. Here, we are provided with Travel Brochures in a PDF Format wherein we enter the Tour details using an online tool provided by the TravelTainment after extracting the information from the Brochures. It also entails uploading of Tour snapshots and using of HTML Codes if necessary.
The client uses this to update their tourism database and generate brochures which can be used as fliers, posters or also it can be viewed on website. The client generally collects the PDF files through other tourist agency and these are sent to us through courier as hard copies or we are given the links to download the files from the internet.
RESULTS
We started this PDF data entry project in the month of April 2006 with a team of 6 people and gradually increased it to 10+. We receive around 5-6 brochures during the off season and about 15-20 brochures during the peak season. Till date we have entered approximately 14,000 descriptions.
During off-season we have 10 people out of which 7 make the entries and 3 are for the QA. During season which generally starts from January, we increase the strength of the team based on the volume of work. Currently for this season we have a team of 30 plus.
We submit around 1000-1500 descriptions during the off season and the volume increases upto 4000-5000 during the peak season.
This month the volume of descriptions for submission will be approx. 5000 descriptions.
Software
The work involved is purely data entry. Sometimes based on the requirements we use HTML coding. For the images, we have used PhotoShop to crop the images and to make it 250 pixels. The images are copied from the PDF file and pasted in the PhotoShop to do the modifications.
Description:
This project is mainly based on listing the products like Cell phones, computer accessories some electronic items onto the sellers account present in EBay which will go live at the time scheduled for each product. Each Day the client gives a set of products that has to go live and their respective timings. We are responsible to schedule them. Usually the products will go live for a day, but during the weekends it will go live for 3 days. For these listing, we use software called as “Black Thorne” which is being given by the client. Here we add in the title of the item, the image related to that item. The HTML codes for the display page, its price and the quantity. This software has to remain open 24 hours a day. We have designed a Hologram for the products. These Holograms have to be inserted on all images before it goes live. A template with banners has been done as per the client's requirement.
Nature of the work:
Create templates using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that can be used in the
description section of eBay Product Listing. Photoshop is used to create background images, Buttons, Banners and to image editing. DreamWeaver is used to design the template where inline styles were used to apply styles for table, images, text etc.
Creating product using eBay Turbo Lister2 to upload product details which is
provided by the client. This project is signed on a Retainer Basis

Description:
In this type of Project, we receive the data in the PDF format and the relevant data from the PDF is collected and entered in MS-Access. These PDF files may be documents for Decree, Deed, Deed of Trust or any other Real Estate Document. Based on client’s requirements we have 30 to 50 agents working on this process. These agents are trained and work 24 X 7. Each team of 10 agents is led by a Team Leader. The project is signed on a retainer basis wherein the client pays a dedicated rate per agent per month.

PDF Conversion is basically an online data entry work wherein we have to extract the data from the PDF file and enter it into the CMS (Content Management System) provided by the Client. The PDF Conversion Work relates to a holiday description that has been entered into CMS (Content Management System), the login details of which are provided by the client.
The two menu item wherein most of the work is carried out is:
"Property Basics" for the set-up of a description and attributes,
"Content Input" for the input of the text and Images.
There are three steps involved in entering the descriptions which is mentioned herewith below:
Step 1
We have to start the work by setting the properties of the description; this is done under Property Basics. Following is the procedure followed.
- Click Property Basics button on left of screen
- Select the brochure on which to work
- Click Edit Brochure
- Click Add Package
- Enter your Property Name (name of the Hotel or Apartment given in the brochure)
- Enter Page number in Page No box
- Click Save Changes
- Next step is Linking Properties
- Click Add Itinerary Item
- Then Click Select Property
- Search for the properties by entering the Area, Country, Location and resort data. If the description property exists then select that property.
Or
Click on Add New Property and enter the required data
Step 2
Once the description properties are set next step is to enter the contents into the description. This is done Using Content Input. Following is the procedure followed.
- Click on Content Input
- Select the brochure on which to work
- Click Edit Brochure
- Under Text Content Tab, Enter the contents given in the PDF to the relevant
header and Click Save Changes
- Select Property Media tab and upload the images.
Step 3
Next is to set the description attributes
- Click Property Basics button on left of screen
- Select the brochure on which to work
- Click Edit Brochure
- Read the contents in the PDF and set the Description attributes accordingly for Property Feature, Property Stats tab and enter the price and date details in Price tab.
After going through the above three steps entry of 1 description is completed and the process is followed for entering the other description.

We also provide assistance for Employee Screening companies. We use an online tool to feed the data of an employee. The data may include any or all of the following – Criminal Record, Drug Testing Programs, Federal Court Programs, License Verification, and so on. This is further sent to the Client who has easy access to the entire employee screening program. The project is signed on a retainer basis wherein the client pays a dedicated rate per agent per month.
