The MOSAIC Awards, an acronym for Multicultural Opportunities for Success and Achievement In our Community, were established by the Jewish Family & Career Services eight years ago as a way to highlight the importance of a vibrant multicultural community. JFCS was founded in 1908 and provides resettlement, employment opportunities, and acculturation services to people from a diverse array of backgrounds.
This year's awards are being presented at the annual JFCS fundraising event held at The Henry Clay on May 30. Ravichandran is one of five recipients being recognized at the ceremony in addition to Paul Diaz, Riffat Hassan, Ph.D Dennis Ogbe, and Shlomit Schaal, M.D., Ph.D.
Under Ravichandran's leadership, GlowTouch has received recognition from Inc 500/5000 as one of America's fastest growing private companies, as well as from Business First as a Fast 50 company. Ravichandran garnered individual recognition from Business First when she was named the 2012 Business Leader of the Year.
Within both the local community and her home country of India, Ravichandran is dedicated to donating her personal time through various philanthropic means. GlowTouch Technologies Anchors Tejo Diya Celebration

A central part of the celebration was the commendations for Sri Gopala Krishna Iyer and Mr. Sharath Babu Elumalai, CEO of Food King Catering. Iyer popularized and teaches Carnatic classical music and flute playing to the people of Dakshina Kannada.
Elumalai was born into poverty and worked hard to earn his college degree from a well established Indian college. His vision is to provide employment to the illiterate and sem-illiterate people of India and he also instigated the HungerFree India Movement.
Dr. Ravichandran marked the celebration by announcing a new initiative under the GT Foundation umbrella. The Karuna Kiran Foundation was created to support critical care patients at the Mangalore based Lady Goschen Hospital. Dr. Ravichandran presented the first check of support from the new foundation to a representative from Lady Goschen hospital.
As a continuance of Tejo Diya's celebration of charitable actions, Dr. Ravichandran also presented a letter of sponsorship to a local Mangalore school; this letter was a promise to provide the school with much needed computers.

GlowTouch Customer Buckhead Mountain Grill Unveils Craft Beer App During Grand Reopening
Buckhead Mountain Grill, a GlowTouch customer, has reopened again after being closed for four months because of a fire. The restaurant closed in early December after an electrical fire damaged the building.
"It was terrible, but we did take it for what it was worth and changed as much as we could to make it better for the customer after four months of being closed," said Kelly Leonardo with Buckhead.
One of restaurant's new features is a brand new bar, complete with tablets people can use to learn about all the craft beer that's served at the restaurant. Fourth Annual Conference by KSTA
January 29th 2012, Mangalore: Karnataka Science and Technology Academy (KSTA), an autonomous organization in the Department of Science and Technology under the Chairmanship of distinguished space scientist Prof. U R Rao, Former Chairman, ISRO recently concluded its Fourth Annual Conference which was organized in collaboration with Mangalore University on January 28th and 29th at the University Campus. The function was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Mr. D. V. Sadananda Gowda on January 28, 2012. Mr. Anand Vasanth Asnotikar, State Minister for Fisheries, Science, and Technology was also present during this occasion.

LOUISVILLE - Jan. 12, 2012 - GlowTouch Technologies, a Louisville-based award-winning technology resource company providing custom application development and operational support services, recently held its annual cultural event in conjunction with the company's charitable trust, the GT Foundation.
"Tejo Diya" was held at Town Hall, Mangalore, near the company's state-of-the-art development center and featured a collection of charitable initiatives, including the donation of a classroom and a computer lab to a local school for the blind.
During the event, a handful of distinguished guests including local professors, philanthropists and humanitarians were recognized and honored for their dedication, service and commitment to the community.

Coastal Business Development Summit by FKCCI
January 4th 2012, Mangalore: The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI) in association with the Department of Industries & Commerce, Department of Infrastructure Development (Govt. of Karnataka), NRI Forum, Karnataka and Coastal Development Authority had organized a "Coastal Business Development Summit" at Sri. T. V Ramana Pai Convention Centre on January 4th & 5th 2012 respectively. The function was inaugurated by Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, Hon'ble Union Minister - Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India and presided by Mr. D. V. Sadananda Gowda, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka.
The Coastal Region Development Committee was formed for the first time in the FKCCI, to look after the interest of the Commerce, Industries & Trade in the region and contribute for the overall Economic Development of the region.
Dr. V. Ravichandran was the Chairperson and he also delivered a talk on "IT, BT and Knowledge based Sectors in the coastal region". During his talk he mentioned about the success story of GlowTouch Technologies/Diya Systems in Mangalore.
This summit was organized to showcase the potential of the region for investment & development and to motivate the existing enterprise and also to attract investors and new entrepreneurs to the coastal districts. GlowTouch Develops 'Interactive Beer App' for Local Establishment
Rocky's Sub Pub recently rolled out a new Android tablet that utilizes a "craft beer app," a tasty tech piece that helps brew fans make educated choices from the restaurant's immense selection.
Wes Johnson, co-owner of the business, said the idea for the app grew out of his and his staff's frustration with printed paper beer lists. Johnson, his partners and managers have worked on the idea since early in 2011.
To make it a reality, Rocky's partnered with GlowTouch Technologies, a software development firm based in Louisville, which finished the project in November.
