In 2014, mobile continued its rapid growth, becoming the majority owner of all digital media activity. It is now the preferred medium of choice. Additionally, 30% of people in the US in 2014 were already accessing business and banking/financial institutions through mobile platforms, according to comScore’s “2015 US Digital Future in Focus” whitepaper. This same study explains that mobile-only and multi-platform users are increasing in every age demographic in the U.S. while desktop-only usage is decreasing. See the graphs below.
