About the Akshaya Patra Foundation

The Akshaya Patra Foundation is non-profit headquartered in Bangalore, India dedicated to ensuring no child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger. Since 2000, Akshaya Patra has implemented the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in government and government-aided schools at 13,839 schools across 12 states in India, serving more than 1.6 million children and 25 million meals to date. Akshaya Patra is continuously leveraging technology in its state-of-the-art kitchens, which have become a subject of study, attracting visitors from around the world.
